Fowler Park

Fowler Park lies in the District of Saanich one of thirteen areas that form the Capital Regional District of British Columbia. About a quarter of the almost one and half hectare parkland is a gravel parking area. This park is being renewed yet is mostly used by those who want to saunter, cycle or ride horseback along the Lochside Trail. The rest of the parkland has mostly rough grasslands with some cottonwood corpses along the trail edge. This park borders along Fowler Road. The road was named for the secretary for the Sayward Estates in the early nineteen twenties. The parkland is being revived with single purpose pickleball courts as well as a shelter for cyclists; there are washrooms in the clubhouse of nearby Lochside Park and toilet is found near the parking area. Cordova Bay Golf Course borders the other side of the Lochside Trail. This is a good place to walk in your backyard. As well, this is a great place to start an outdoor excursion in Cordova Bay.
