The volunteers that form the pony club in Metchosin built the riding ring in the late nineteen eighties. The open air ring is about thirty-five meters by sixty meters and covered with a fine all weather material; replaced in 2014. A grandstand completes the space which also has area for parking horse trailers, washrooms and water for horses. The riding ring is maintained by the Metchosin Equestrian Society members. This is a good place to get outdoors even on days when there is no events happening. The bike jump, cricket park, Metchosin School and Hillman Green Space are nearby.
