Greenglade Green Space

Greenglade Green Space is in the seaside community of Sidney, one of thirteen communities that form the Capital Regional District of British Columbia. The Greenglade Community Center Green Space is a gem. This former elementary school yard hosts a terrific playground and large grass covered sport field within a lovely residential neighborhood. Rigby, football, soccer, ultimate and other field sports use this grass covered field. There are shore pines at the entrance of the small parking area. The green space surrounded by the fences of homes This green space is within walking distance of Tulista Park and the waterfront via the pedestrian overpass over Pat Bay Highway and both Reay Creek and Peter Grant Parks. Community gardens are nestled by the community center. The garden plots are various sizes and are rentable on an annual basis.

Greenglade Green Space is accessed from the Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 1). Exit Hwy1 onto McKenzie Avenue to reach the Pat Bay Highway (Hwy 17). Head north along Hwy17 as it leads past the airport to reach Sidney on the Saanich Peninsula.  Turn at left at Beacon Avenue and then immediately left again onto Ocean Avenue. After the road curves around the airport runway, turn left onto Epco Drive or continue to Canora Road then turn left. Both roads will lead to Weiler Avenue: Epco Drive ends at Weiler whereas you’ll need to turn left from Canora Road. Use caution while driving in this lovely quiet Sidney neighborhood as you connect with Northbrooke Drive. Turn off Northbrooke onto Lannon Way and look for the building and parking area of the community center. There is street parking as well as a parking lot here. The closest bus travels along Canora Road.
