Victoria West Elementary School Green Space is in the seaside city of Victoria, one of thirteen communities that form the Capital Regional District of British Columbia. This green space is at the Vic West Elementary School of the Victoria School District 61. The green space has a large grass covered area used as sports fields with white goal posts at their ends, a couple of wonderful playgrounds and paved areas marked for outdoor games like four squares and basketball. One playground in at the corner of Langford Street and Russell Street where there is a climbing structure with slides. The other playground is behind the school past the fenced basketball court. This playground has three separate areas. There is a rectangular monkey bar, sloped monkey bars and a wooden and metal climbing set up. The school grounds are surrounded by a short chain-link fence with openings along Sherk Street, which leads to the railway track, Fullerton Avenue and pedestrian access from Wilson Street and Front Street. The footpath from Wilson to Langford streets is about 250 meters long. This is a terrific green space that is accessible outside of school hours. It is a good place to take walk in your neighborhood. There is another small fenced play area near this school yard which seems to be a private facility for the Montessori School students.

Vic West Elementary School Green Space can be reached from the Trans Canada Highway. Continue along highway as it becomes Douglas Street. Turn west onto Bay Street and continue across the Ellice Point Bridge. At the first lights continue on Bay Street until Wilson Street. Turn right onto Wilson Street and travel eastward to reach Front Street. Turn right onto Front Street and look for the school building on the left. There is limited street side parking. The school grounds are available outside of school hours. A city bus travels along Esquimalt Road from downtown.
