Sitkum Park

 

Sitkum Park, Victoria West, Songhees area

Sitkum Park is in the seaside city of Victoria, one of thirteen communities that form the Capital Regional District of British Columbia. About one tenth of a hectare, Sitkum Park has grassy area and large parking lot next to some pine trees. Located in the Songhees area of Vic West, Sitkum Park has the E&N Railway track bordering along its north side. Kimta Road is along the south side. A few hundred meters away and across Siktum Road is Songhees Hilltop Park is across the road. Lime Bay Park and Westsong Walkway are down toward the water along Cooperage Place.

Sitkum Park can be reached from the Trans Canada Highway. Continue along the highway as it becomes Douglas Street. Turn west onto Johnson Street and continue across the bridge toward Victoria West. Once on Esquimalt Road turn left onto Sitkum Road, pass by Songhee Hilltop Park. Look for Sitkum Park on the right as you reach Kimta Road where there is limited roadside parking as well as a couple of parking areas. A city bus travels along Esquimalt Road from downtown.
