Earnest Todd Park

Ernest Todd Park is in the seaside City of Victoria, one of thirteen communities that form the Capital Regional District of British Columbia. This is a popular playground that is on a partial shaded half hectare in the seaside community of James Bay, Victoria, B.C. The play area was named after Earnest Dain Todd, a partner in the real estate company Gillespie, Hart & Todd, as well as a principal in the J.H. Todd Salmon Cannery. Mr. Todd was the grandson of Jacob Hunter Todd, a pioneer merchant of Victoria, B.C. A narrow alley separates Earnest Todd Park from the sports field of MacDonald Park and James Bay Community School. It is bordered by Montreal Street to the west. There are swings and slides and climbing apparatus with woodchip base surrounded by a chain link fence with a couple of gates. A large climbable tree shades on corner of the park. There is a bench and picnic table located near the playset. MacDonald Park and James Bay Community School Green Space are to the east across the alley and Todd Park Tennis courts are across Montreal Street.
