Ecole Millstream Elementary School is located in the Thetis Heights neighborhood of Langford, B.C. Langford is one of thirteen communities that form the Capital Regional District of British Columbia and is located on the southern end of Vancouver Island. The school was built in nineteen fifty nine and is part of the Sooke School District number sixty two. The green space is about one and half hectares in size and dominated to two large grassy fields with goal posts at the ends. The two playgrounds are at opposite ends of the green space. Asphalt along the sides of the school building is painted with hopscotch and four square games. The basketball court is at the back of the school grounds near a playground. Benches are found throughout the green space. The playground near the front of the school has climbing apparatus with several platforms. Use the climber’s slope, fireman’s pole, spiral bars, curved monkey bars. A yellow double slide is separate as are the swings. The set at the back of the school has swings and climbing apparatus. There are raised garden beds near the school. Mill Stream flows along the back of the school grounds separated by a chain link fence and the Millstream Creek Trail. Mill Stream, or Millstream Creek as it is often called, is the main waterway in a watershed that starts in the Gowlland Tod range of the Highlands and includes seven lakes and numerous ponds. Goldie Park, Millstream Creek Park, Millstream Creek Trail, Thetis Lake Park and Selwyn Road Park are nearby. This is an excellent green space to enjoy after school.

Ecole Millstream Elementary School Green Space can be reached from the Trans Canada Highway also called Hwy1. Turn at Millstream Road and continue to the log house pub and turn right onto Treanor Avenue and turn left on to Hoy Lake Avenue. There is parking along the school grounds beside Hoy Lake Avenue. City buses travel along Treanor Avenue.
