Journey Middle School Green Space is in the seaside community of Sooke, one of thirteen communities that form the Capital Regional District of British Columbia. This green space is part of the school yard of School District #62 – Sooke. The school grounds are available outside of school hours. Large grass covered sports fields with football, soccer and rugby areas are great for getting out for a run. There is a playground area and outdoor sport courts. This school yard was a purpose built middle school that opened in nineteen ninety four. The design of the building shelters an old big leaf maple tree. A large fire pit is located in nearby. The playground with climbing apparatus, swings is near the front of the building. An outdoor basketball court in the school yard has an asphalt surface. It lies on the east side of the green space. Several walking trails connect to this green space including Woodland Park trails. This is a great place to walk in your backyard.

Journey Middle School Green Space can be reached from the Trans Canada Highway. Take the Langford Parkway exit and follow along to reach Sooke Road (Hwy 14). Follow highway 14 to Charters Road. Turn right onto Charters Road continue along the road way to Throup Road. The green Space is accessed from Journey School Lane and Throup Road. The lane is gated. There is parking along Throup Road and a parking area closer to the school. City buses travel along Sooke Road.
