Gatewood Green Space is in the seaside community of Sooke, one of thirteen communities that form the Capital Regional District of British Columbia. This gravel pedestrian pathway connects the West Coast Road to Gatewood Road and Grant Road. The pathway meanders through blackberry and broom bushes over six hundred and seventy five meters. The pathway is marked with white and red posts and appear to be a fire access road or right a way section of Gatewood Road. The route is flat and popular with dog walkers, hikers and bicycle riders. Parts of this nature trail are shaded by alders, cottonwoods and big leaf maple trees. This is a good place to walk in your backyard.
