Fishboat Bay Park is west of the seaside community of Sooke, one of thirteen communities that form the Capital Regional District of British Columbia and lies in the Juan de Fuca Electoral District of British Columbia. The three hectare nature park lies on the southern end of Vancouver Island and along the shore line of the Pacific Ocean. A seventy-five meter pathway descends along a twenty-step wooden staircase. The rough pathway leads to the rock and sand beach. A seasonal washroom can be found beside a tree near the roadway. A lower tides the beach is sandy with rocky outcroppings. At higher tides the beach area is near the tree line. Fisherman Creek flows in to Fish Boat Bay on the Strait of Juan de Fuca. This is a good place to walk in your back yard.
