Arthur Drive Beach Access

Arthur Drive Beach Access is in the municipality of Central Saanich, one of the thirteen which form the Capital Regional District of British Columbia. Located on the Saanich Peninsula of Vancouver Island, this green space provides access to Ferguson Cove and the ocean waters of Cordova Channel. The gravel and wood chip trail is about thirty meters long and bordered by hedges of the neighboring properties. The beach is a rocky shoreline that is better at lower tides. The view to James Island. This is a good place to walk in your backyard.

Arthur Drive Beach Access can be reached from the Patricia Bay Highway, Highway 17, which heads north from the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1). Exit the Highway 17 right onto Mount Newton Cross Road and turn onto Lochside Drive. Follow Lochside Drive to James Island Road. Turn right onto James Island Road then left onto Arthur Drive. The trail to the beach is between homes 8001 and 7995; there is signage. There is limited parking along Arthur Drive. City busses travel along Lochside Drive in the Turgoose neighborhood of Central Saanich.
