Centers Green Space is in the municipality of Central Saanich, one of the thirteen which form the Capital Regional District of British Columbia. Located on the Saanich Peninsula of Vancouver Island, this large green space hosts three centers: the Central Saanich Hospital, Health Unit and Mount Newton Centre Society. There are several grass covered areas that form the grounds of the hospital. An asphalt access road provides a loop walking area of about eight hundred meters. A concrete pathway crosses the lawn area is shaded by several trees and shrubs. The entire green space is surrounded by open crop fields. The signage showing ‘Place of Healing,’ in two languages, is along the road to the paid parking area. The signs are graced by some unique totem poles. Both the unit and the center have landscaped areas with grass and trees. This is a good place to walk in your back yard.
