Keating Elementary School Green Space is in the municipality of Central Saanich, one of the thirteen which form the Capital Regional District of British Columbia. Located on the Saanich Peninsula of Vancouver Island, this green space is the school yard of Saanich School District #63. The school is named for local area which was named after a landowner in the area. It’s a place to walk during after school hours. There are several playgrounds, playing fields, outdoor structures for games and activities and an outdoor covered play area. Two gaga ball courts with padded floors are found here. A concrete staircase leads down to the afterschool care building and past some very tall trees. The pathway branches to connect to Eastgate and Moore Place. The school yard is fenced by a chain link fence along most the perimeter. The outdoor covered play area is good for ball sports when the weather is inclement. This is great place for tossing a Frisbee or baseball, doing parkour and playing games; a place to walk in your back yard.

Keating Elementary School Green Space can be reached from the Trans-Canada Highway, Highway One. Exit on to Mackenzie Avenue to reach Highway 17, the Pat Bay Highway. Continue along Highway 17 to Keating Cross Road exit to the left. Continue to Central Saanich Road then turn right. Look for the green space and school buildings on the right. There are two gated parking areas. City buses pass along Central Saanich Road.
