Camas Trail Green Space is in the seaside community of Oak Bay, one of thirteen areas of the Capital Regional District of British Columbia. Named for the camas lilies, bulb plants with a spring time blue flower, that were a seasonal food of the residents of this area. These spring time flowers usually are best seen in bloom from March until May along this trail. This green space was an Oak Bay Heritage Byway used before eighteen eighty two as a service trail along the border of Jon Tod’s Willows Farm and Hudson Bay’s Upland Farm. It is a pedestrian friendly pathway that partially composed of back lanes in the Uplands Willows neighborhood. From Musgrave Street to Esplanade Drive the route is about eight hundred and fifty meters with a variety of surfaces. Several sections are paved others are wood chips and many are gravelly soil. The route is bordered by an equally interesting variety of fence materials including hedges, chain-link and weathered wooden fences. Several trees and shrubs provide additional shade along the route. This green space is near Uplands Park and Willows Beach Park.

Camas Trail Green Space can be reached from the Trans Canada Highway. Continue along the Hwy 1 into Victoria as it becomes Douglas Street. Turn off Douglas onto Hillside Avenue to head east. Stay on Hillside Avenue as it becomes Lansdowne Road. Continue along Lansdowne Road to reach Nottingham Road. Look for the Camas Trail marker on the lane way across from 1510 Nottingham Road. There is some street parking. City buses travel along Nottingham Road.
