Barnard Park is in the seaside community of Esquimalt, one of thirteen communities in the Capital Regional District of British Columbia. Barnard Park is shared with the City of Victoria; about five hundred square meters of this seaside park lies in Esquimalt. This small section of the park is forested with Garry Oak and Douglas fir trees and is shaded by the apartment and townhouse complexes on three sides. Access into this area is from the tennis courts in Barnard Park. There is more information about the park in the Victoria Parks and Green Spaces section of this blog or use this word: link.

Hi! I'm Roberta, an avid walker, hiker and naturalist. I'm a back yard hiker which means I hike the local area where I live on Vancouver Island. I share these urban parks and outdoor spaces with you. I want to encourage you to explore the neighborhoods in the Capital Regional District of British Columbia by foot. Immersing yourself in your natural world, on the southern end of Vancouver Island and elsewhere, helps you to find balance in life. View all posts by Healthy Naturalist
