Swiftsure Park

Swiftsure Park is in the seaside community of Sidney, one of thirteen communities that form the Capital Regional District of British Columbia. Swiftsure Park is a small grassy are with a playground in a quiet residential area of Sidney. The gravel pathway the street lead into the park. The pathway is lines with a chain-link fence and a cedar hedge. This park is a wonderful opportunity to walk in your backyard. It was established during the development of its neighborhood.   Melissa Playground Park and Sidney Elementary School Green Space are nearby. Lochside Trail is about a block west.

Swiftsure Park can be reached from the Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 1). Exit Hwy1 onto McKenzie Avenue to reach the Pat Bay Highway (Hwy 17). Head north along Hwy17 as it leads past the airport to reach Sidney on the Saanich Peninsula.  Turn at Beacon Avenue to head east then turn left onto 7th Avenue. Follow Seventh Avenue to James White Boulevard. Turn left onto James White Boulevard which curves and connects with Swiftsure Place. Look for the pathway into the park between houses 9943 and 9944. There is limited access with little to no street parking. The closest bus route is from Beacon Avenue.
