Quadra Ecole Elementary Green Space is in the seaside city of Victoria, one of thirteen communities that form the Capital Regional District. The green space at the Victoria School District 61Ecole Quadra Elementary covers nearly two and a half hectares. The striking brick building was built by nineteen fourteen with an annex building, seen from Finlayson Street, built slightly earlier. This building and property are part of the Victoria Heritage Foundation walking tour. The school’s green space is available outside of school hours and includes two excellent playgrounds. Swings and a climbing structure are found beside the school building. The second playset is located between the paved and marked area right behind the school and a sports field closer to Josette Place. This playground is on the right of way for Fifth Street. The sports field has white goal posts at each end. The playground is protected by wood chips and has a wonderful barrel slide and a wooden play structure. Another wonderful feature on these school grounds is the raised garden beds in the southwestern corner. This green space is a great place to explore nature and the outdoors.

Ecole Quadra Elementary Green Space can be reached from the Trans Canada Highway. Follow along as the highway becomes Douglas Street. Turn east onto Finlayson Street. At the intersection with Quadra Street, the brick building of the school can be seen on the corner. There is very limited parking near the school, even on school days. A city bus travels along Quadra and Finlayson Street from downtown towards the municipality of Saanich.
