Sumas Park

Sumas Park is in the seaside community of Victoria, one of thirteen communities that form the Capital Regional District of British Columbia. This park is an excellent surprise. Shaded by two large Garry oak trees, the 0.15 hectare parkland has a large grassy area and a playground. Set in a woodchip base, the play ground has double sets of toddler and children swings, and two set of climbing apparatus complete with slides and more. The park is partial fenced with a low chain-link fence. A forty meter paved pathway connects the park to the back alleyway of Burnside Road. Further along Sumas Street is small grassy green space and in the opposite direction across Jutland Road is the play area of the Burnside Community Center.
