Stone Gate Green Space is in the community of Langford, one of thirteen communities that form the Capital Regional District of British Columbia. Located in the Bear Mountain neighborhood of Langford, B.C., the Stone Gate Green Space is partway up the mountain. This green space is just the narrow pedestrian access between the homes along Stone Gate. The trail leads to a ridge where arbutus trees are abundant. Douglas fir and cedar trees with small shrubs like Oregon grape, salal and ocean spray are seen along the slopes. The rough trail leads downhill and branches to reach both ends of Longspur Drive. This second growth forested area is subject to redevelopment into lots for eleven houses with, hopefully, a provision for walking, hiking and dog walking to continue in this unique area. Alton Lane Park, Setchfield Park, Stone Gate Park, Skyline Park, Harrow Gate Park, Arngask Park, Bishops Gate Park and Bear Mountain Parkway Green Space are nearby.
