Sooke Campground Flats Green Space

Sooke Campground Flats Green Space is in the seaside community of Sooke, one of thirteen communities that form the Capital Regional District of British Columbia.  A privately owed business, this four hectare campground lies on the confluence of DeMamiel Creek and Sooke River. Landscaped with several tall trees this is a private property with access limited to non-customers. There is a logger’s pole, a play area, picnic area, playground and couple of cabins. A communal kitchen and club house is next to one of the bathrooms for the ninety-five camping sites. Map Both Sooke River and DeMamiel Creek have good fishing and swimming places. The water ways are good for personal water craft like paddle boards, kayak and canoes. The campground has stairs to the river near the confluence of the two and overlooks the Sooke River Park and tidal flats. This can be a peaceful area to rent a site or cabin for a night or a week. http://www.sookecommunity.com/camping/index.html
