Dawson Park is in the municipality of Central Saanich, one of the thirteen which form the Capital Regional District of British Columbia. Located on the Saanich Peninsula of Vancouver Island, this park has a trail that connects Hagan Road with Win Way. Dawson Park has Garry oak and fir trees. It is a good place to walk in your back yard.

Dawson Park can be reached from the Trans-Canada Highway, Hwy 1. Exit onto McKenzie Avenue and follow along to exit onto Highway 17, Pat Bay Highway. Follow Hwy 17 to exit to the left onto Island View Road. Follow Island View to East Saanich Road. Turn off onto Stelly’s Cross Road and follow to West Saanich Road. Follow West Saanich Road to reach Sluggett Road. Turn right onto Sluggett Road and look for the access to the park between 1031 and 1043. The park can also be access off Hagan Road between homes 7035 and 7041 as well as off Win Way between home 1003 and 1012.. The park is near Sluggett Road off Hagan Road. There is limited street parking.
Is the water wheel still there? There were at least two in the early 80’s
