Prospect Lake Park

Prospect Lake Park is in the District of Saanich, one of thirteen areas that form the Capital Regional District of British Columbia. This park is next to the green space and schoolyard of Prospect Lake Elementary School that is within the Saanich School District No.  The park has a soccer field with lights and hosts games with the Prospect Lake Soccer Club.  There are also two tennis courts near the chain link fence along Wray Creek. Douglas fir, cedar and arbutus trees lie along the eastern side of the grass field. The soccer pitch has two sets of bleachers. There is smaller grass field along the southern side of the park. This is a good place to walk in your backyard.

Prospect Lake Park can be reached from the Trans Canada Highway. Exit onto Mackenzie Avenue to reach Pat Bay Highway (Hwy 17). Continue along Pat Bay Highway to exit the highway at Royal Oak Drive, cross over the highway to lights at the intersection with West Saanich Road.  Turn right and drive down West Saanich Road to Prospect Lake Road, which is past the road that leads to the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory.  The park is on the left side of the Prospect Lake Road near the intersection of Prospect Lake Road and West Saanich Road. Prospect Lake shopping center at this intersection. Prospect Lake Elementary School borders on this parkland. There is parking at the school.
