Ecole Victor Brodeur Green Space is in the seaside community of Esquimalt, one of thirteen communities in the Capital Regional District of British Columbia. This three hectare green space was initially the school yard Harborview School; it was renamed Ecole Victor Brodeur. As part of the Victoria School District 61 and the Conseil Scolaire Francophone, this school yard is available outside of school hours. Rear-Admiral V.G. Brodeur was honored in naming of this school. The merger of the Canadian Forces Base School, originally in former residence of Victor Gabriel Brodeur, and the francophone portion of Uplands School, in Oak Bay, formed this school. The green space and buildings were reconstructed in two thousand and seven. The green space includes a large grass sports field delineated seasonally for soccer, football and rugby. There are a couple of outdoor asphalt areas marked for basketball and several playground areas. The school is a kindergarten to grade twelve school. A walkway from Old Esquimalt Road leads past the sports fields. The parking areas are accessible from Head Street where there are some Garry oak and conifer trees. Lampson School Green Space and Highrock Cairn Park are nearby.
