Sidney Elementary Green Space

Sidney Elementary Green Space in the seaside community of Sidney, one of thirteen communities that form the Capital Regional District of British Columbia. This green space is part of School District of Saanich and surrounds the building of the Sidney Elementary School.  The school yard has a fabulous playground that is available for use outside of school hours. The sport field is frequented by sports enthusiasts and pet owners during these times too. This is great spot to enjoy for field sports like rugby, football, soccer, field hockey and ultimate. Ornamental plum trees and a few other trees and shrubs can be found along Seventh Street. Pedestrian access is from both Seventh and Henry. Melissa Park, Swiftsure Park, the Rose Garden, Wellness Park, Lochside Trail – Sidney and Beacon Park are nearby.

Sidney Elementary Green Space can be reached from the Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 1). Exit Hwy1 onto McKenzie Avenue to reach the Pat Bay Highway (Hwy 17). Head north along Hwy17 as it leads past the airport to reach Sidney on the Saanich Peninsula.  Turn at Beacon Avenue to head east then turn left onto Seventh Street. Look for the pathway just north of the school field.  Parking is available in the school yard outside of school hours and along both Henry and Seventh Street. The closest bus passes along Resthaven Drive.
