Mitchell Park is in the municipality of Central Saanich, one of the thirteen which form the Capital Regional District of British Columbia. Located on the Saanich Peninsula of Vancouver Island, this park is small beautiful neighborhood park with a concrete walking trail. The sidewalk parallels East Saanich Road. It is a busy place to walk as it is a the junction of two busy roadways. There is a small market area nearby which include a cafe and farmer market.

Mitchell Park can be reached from the Trans-Canada Highway, Highway One. Exit on to Mackenzie Avenue to reach Highway 17, the Pat Bay Highway. Continue along Highway 17 to reach Island View Road. Turn left onto Island View Road then right in East Saanich Road. Look for the park on the left near the junction with Central Saanich Road. There is a small parking area on the right immediate off Central Saanich Road.
