St Joseph’s Hospital Green Space is in the seaside city of Victoria, one of thirteen communities that form the Capital Regional District of British Columbia. The landscaped gardens of St. Joseph’s Hospital merge, through the wrought iron fence, with the lawns of Mount St. Mary Hospital Gardens along Humbolt Street in Victoria, B.C. The four and half story Neoclassical Edwardian building that forms St. Joseph’s Hospital was constructed in the eighteen seventy six. This building had continued use as a hospital until nine eighty three when the Victoria General Hospital (North) was constructed. The gardens of St. Joseph’s Hospital have limited access and are bordered by a stone wall along Humbolt Street. A hundred meter long concrete footpath lies in this green space. St Ann’s Academy Gardens are across the street. Beacon Hill Park is another block further south.
